Ladies Auxillary

Sisters,
As of today, our membership stands at 97.16% !! We need 3 more member dues to have our Auxiliary at 100%. Please send in you dues so we have them by our meeting on Sept 18th 7:00pm to be included in the drawing to be rembursed for this years fees. Sept 13th $6.00 Spaghetti Supper Fund Raiser for Martine Arndt, Dept Sr Vice President, for her President's Homecomming.

So far in the 2013 - 2014 year, we have held 3 Poppy Drives with 1 more scheduled for Sept. 14th 8:30 - 3:30 at Loaf N Jug in Fountain. Please sign up at the Post to help out, even if just for an hour.

Sept 14th All Activities Day (formally called All Patients Day). See flier on Home Page. We need helpers with this due to health and family issues of some that had signed up to help. They will be leaving the Post at 9:30am, carpooling. Lunch is provided.

Sept 15th is our 1st District 5 meeting, at Post 5221 Calhan, lunch 1:00 & meeting 2:00. If you need a ride, call Rena 290-0164

Oct 19 - 20 COA at Post 3917 Security. The Parade of Programs is at 1:00 on Sat. If you have never attended one of these, now is the time to do so as this is close by and a fun, informative time is to be had. Lunch at 12:00, Sloppy Joe, salad & chips $6.00 and Dinner at 6:00pm $10.00 is Grilled Steak or Chicken, baked potato, veggie, salad & roll $10.00. Please RSVP to Dept Headquarters 303-421-1632 if you plan to join us for these meals. On Sun. at 8:30am is the Joint Meeting with the COA after. We are usually done about noon.

On the 3rd Thursday of every month, we visit and provide coffee and goodies at Grinde Manor at 10:00am. If you wish to join us and visit or just send goodies, call Sue Johnson at 382 - 7042.

Please don't forget to fill out all of your Programs (Community Service) information and send it in. So many things count: driving a neighbor or friend to the hospital, Dr's, shopping. Babysitting for free (non family), neighbor's yard work, donating items, etc... Even if you are not sure if it counts, please send in what you did, how much time it took, how many miles you drove and how much money you spent out of pocket. It just might count. This information is what helps to show to the IRS how much we do, and help keeps us a non-profit. You can either stop by the Post to pick up the forms or put all the information on regular paper.
