theme "Why Veterans Are Important to Our Nation's History and Future" and
Patriot's Pen, grades 6-8 theme "Why I Appreciate America's Veterans". If you

~ Aug 23 Dept Commander's Home Comming. Jim Lafferty is this years
Dept. Commander. This will be at Post 3917 in Security, 2 - 4 P.M..
~ Aug 24 Aux. Membership "tea" 2pm. This is where we show recognition to
our members for thier years of service. Every 5 yrs, we give a pin that shows how
many years they have been a member. All are welcome to attend.
~ Sept 6 Programs Training at Post 3917, Security 12 - 3pm
~ Sept 13 All Activities Day (formaly called All Patients Day) at Pueblo VA Nursing
Home. Depart from our Post at 9:30am, return aprox 4pm. Contact Rena for more

~ Buddy Poppy Drives. If you can give even one or two hours it helps give
others a break, And it gets reported on the Volunteer/Programs Report.
